  • We work to enhance the lives of horses and other working animals.

At the Nepal Animal Welfare and Research Center (NAWRC), we are dedicated to providing help and care for animals in need. Our mission is to ensure that all animals, regardless of their circumstances, receive the necessary medical attention, shelter, and support they require. This commitment extends to animals across various contexts, from household pets to those in more challenging environments.

Our primary focus is on improving the well-being of farm animals. In Nepal, farm animals such as cows, goats, chickens, and buffaloes play a crucial role in the livelihoods of many families. However, these animals often face harsh conditions and lack proper care. At NAWRC, we strive to educate farmers on best practices for animal care, provide medical treatments, and advocate for better living conditions. By enhancing the health and well-being of farm animals, we not only improve their quality of life but also support the sustainability of local farming communities.

Additionally, we work to enhance the lives of horses and other working animals. In many parts of Nepal, horses, donkeys, and other animals are essential for transportation and labor. These working animals are frequently subjected to strenuous tasks and may suffer from injuries, malnutrition, and neglect. NAWRC's initiatives include offering veterinary services, proper nutrition, and humane treatment practices to ensure these animals can perform their duties without undue suffering. Our efforts are geared towards promoting the humane treatment of all working animals, recognizing their significant contribution to society, and ensuring they lead healthier, happier lives.
