Spay/Neuter Program

NAWRC Launches Extensive Spay and Neuter Program in Kavrepalanchowk

Banepa, Panauti, and Dhulikhel,

Nepal Animal Welfare and Research Center (NAWRC) has launched a significant spay and neuter program in the towns of Banepa, Panauti, and Dhulikhel in the Kavrepalanchok district. This initiative aims to control the stray animal population, reduce animal suffering, and promote a healthier coexistence between humans and animals in these communities.

Under the leadership of Ananda Dahal, chairperson of NAWRC, and with the expertise of our dedicated team, including Veterinary Assistant Sunil Bhandari and program manager Sujan Bhandari,  with Veterinarian Dr. Asis Mahat, this program is set to make a substantial impact. The program includes not only spaying and neutering but also providing medical treatment and vaccinations to the stray animals.
Why Spay and Neuter?
Spaying and neutering are essential components of responsible animal care. These procedures help prevent the birth of unwanted animals, reducing the number of strays that struggle to survive on the streets. Moreover, spaying and neutering can significantly improve the health and well-being of animals by preventing various diseases and reducing aggressive behaviors.
Call for Support
We appeal to the community and animal lovers to support this crucial initiative. There are several ways you can help:

  •     Volunteer: Assist our team in various activities during the spay and neuter camps.
  •     Donate: Financial contributions are vital to cover the costs of surgical supplies, medications, and other essentials.
  •     Spread the Word: Raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering to help us reach more people and animals in need.

Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of countless animals and help create a healthier environment for everyone in Banepa, Panauti, and Dhulikhel.
